How to get it
Make torches at the Woodworker. Find the log pile and workbench, click the building and look for its torch recipe. Check the recipe's inputs in your game, then set the amount you want to keep available. Developer's workshop answer.
- Open the Woodworker and review its torch recipe.
- Use that recipe's gear to manage how many should be crafted. The setting applies across buildings making the same item in Demo 0.90.
- Check torch stock and your remaining planks before you leave. If stock does not rise, check paused state, available input and whether its target stockpile is full.

Choose a mine expedition and set your party first. On the equipment screen, use + beside the Stick Torch to pack it and − to remove it. Hold a button to pack several. Check the displayed light and the amount you packed before starting. More dwarves increase party carry capacity, so a small party may not fit all the torches you own.
